A Toot in the Tub offers a lighthearted, rhymed look at the importance of “healthful release” for kids. While upholding the importance of being kind to others, A Toot in the Tub pokes gentle fun at society’s expectations and rules for children, while urging young readers to never let such pressure take the fun out of life! Tooting in the bath is a metaphor for letting go, reminding us all in a giggle-worthy way that sometimes it’s okay to just be a kid!
My 2 year old son adores this book and asks to read it every night before bed! The clever rhyming and the reinforcement of so many traits we try and instill in him make it a must read every night before bed. The illustrations and relatable examples of how helping others, being polite, kind and of course, being silly every once in a while makes it the perfect book. A truly loveable read for all ages and we can’t wait for the next one!-- Justine Boyd - Parent --
Tara Fleming’s illustrations are bright, cheerful and expressive. They illustrate how family and neighbours interact and most importantly express the joy our main character experiences when tooting in the tub.-- CM: Canadian Review of Materials --
