Geoff Peddle Lecture in St. John's

Geoff Peddle will be giving a lecture entitled “The Church Lads' Brigade in Newfoundland: A People's Story, 1892-2017” based on his book by the same name on Tuesday, April 25, at 7:30 pm at the Hampton Hall Lecture Theatre (Marine Institute, 155 Ridge Road, St. John’s) presented by the Family History Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. Everyone welcome! The year 2017 marks 125 years of service in Newfoundland for the Church Lads’ Brigade. Today, it is the oldest and largest Anglican youth organization in Canada. The CLB is also one of the most recognizable civic organizations in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, known nationally for its regimental band. The Right Reverend Geoff Peddle, Ph.D., is the regimental chaplain to the CLB. In The Church Lads' Brigade in Newfoundland, he recounts the history of this incredible organization while telling the story of its continuing work today.
